  • cocoa powder – 1 tbsp. spoon;
  • sour cream (fat content 25%) – 0.15 kg;
  • butter – 0.05 kg;
  • soda – 0.5 teaspoon;
  • sugar – 5 tbsp. spoon;
  • vinegar -0.5 teaspoon;
  • flour - 1 cup.

Preparation:

  1. Prepare all ingredients immediately. They need to be taken out of the refrigerator so that they warm up and reach room temperature.
  2. Break the eggs into a deep bowl.
  3. Add sugar to the eggs and beat everything with a fork or whisk. Bring this mixture until smooth.
  4. Take a piece of soft butter and add it to the sugar mixture. Mix everything again.
  5. Now add sour cream to the bowl. Whisk everything again.
  6. Place some baking soda in a large spoon and fill it with vinegar. The soda should be completely soaked and sizzle, only then can it be added to a common bowl.
  7. Sift the flour several times. This will give the pie fluffiness. Add flour to remaining ingredients.
  8. Now it is advisable to beat everything with a mixer. There should be no lumps, the consistency should be homogeneous.
  9. Pour half of the dough into another container.
  10. Sift the cocoa powder through a sieve. Add it to only one container. Now we have one chocolate dough, the other white.
  11. Add a spoonful of flour to the white dough. Now both parts will have the same proportions.
  12. Remove the bowl from the appliance and grease it with vegetable oil. You need to lubricate not only the bottom, but also the walls of the mold.
  13. Now put the dough into the bowl:
    1. Place a spoonful of chocolate mixture in the middle of the mold.
    2. Pour white dough into the middle of the chocolate mass.
    3. Repeat these steps with the remaining dough. Both types of dough will spread evenly to the edges. A very beautiful pattern is formed.
  14. You can finish it with a toothpick. Form a web with it. To do this, move a wooden stick from the middle of the pie to the edge. Make eight lines.
  15. Place the bowl back into the slow cooker. Set it to “Bake” mode for 35 minutes. After the specified time, check readiness with a toothpick. Pierce the cake with it; if the stick is dry, the cake is ready. If the toothpick is wet, the product needs to be finished baking.
  16. Zebra cake with sour cream is ready. Enjoy your tea.

How to bake a delicious Zebra pie using a Redmond multicooker

Homemade tea cakes create an amazing holiday atmosphere on ordinary weekdays. Redmond will not take up much of your time, which for some reason is always missing.

Intricate patterns do not require any special art, just a little patience and attention. This pie will also look interesting on the holiday table. To make a festive version, you just need to decorate it a little and layer it with cream.

To do this, cut the finished cooled cake into two parts using a sharp knife or thick thread, prepare your favorite cream, coat the cakes, and decorate the top of the cake with melted chocolate or chocolate icing.

For those who love variety every day, Zebra cake is an ideal option. It can be poured in a different pattern every day.

You can add two tablespoons of chopped toasted nuts to the chocolate dough before baking, and the same amount of light raisins or chopped dried apricots to the white dough.

In addition to nuts, you can add pieces of prunes, chopped pitted dates or chopped candied citrus fruits.

The cream for the pie layer can also be very varied: whipped cream with a thickener and powdered sugar, boiled condensed milk with butter, custard with the addition of condensed milk.

You can add pieces of fresh fruit when layering the pie, which will combine with it to taste. For example, banana, pineapple, kiwi. No store-bought cake can compare with such deliciousness.

Having realized all the benefits of baking yourself, now try to understand all the intricacies of cooking.

The dough for zebra pie can hardly be called sponge cake, because a butter sponge cake should contain five times less oil than other ingredients. And in addition to butter, the recipe also includes sour cream. This is rather a creamy dough, the same one from which the base for the Bird's Milk cake is made.

This pie cannot be prepared without baking powder or slaked soda. Thoroughly beating the eggs will give the pie additional softness and fluffiness, and sour cream and butter will make the taste delicately creamy.

Ingredients:

Recipe

Step 1

Start preparing the dough. This can be done in different ways just like for a sponge cake, beat the eggs together with sugar and beat the whites separately from the yolks.

To obtain a more tender and fluffy pie, first separate the whites from the yolks and beat until a white, stable foam. At the end of whipping, gradually add a glass of sugar and vanillin.

Step 2

Melt the butter and cool to room temperature. Mix sour cream, yolks, butter. The flour is sifted through a sieve and mixed with baking powder.

Step 3

Combine all prepared components together. Add the sour cream and butter mixture to the whipped egg whites and sugar and add the flour. After mixing the dough until the lumps disappear (without fanaticism), divide it into two equal parts.

Add a heaping tablespoon of cocoa to one bowl with the dough, and the same amount of flour to the other. For white and chocolate dough, use different spoons so as not to spoil the white color. Mix both doughs thoroughly.

Step 4

Now it’s the turn of the multicooker. The inside of the bowl is well greased with butter. Begin the process of creatively pouring dough of different colors.

First pour two tablespoons of white dough into the bottom of the bowl, then two tablespoons of chocolate dough. When the dough is finished, close the multicooker lid.

Turn on the “Baking” mode for 60 minutes. Allow the finished pie to cool by opening the lid of the multicooker. Then they put it on a plate, decorate it with cream and chocolate glaze if desired, or immediately cut it into portions for tea.

Enjoy your meal!
